Welcome to your new level of crypto security. If you’ve just received your Trezor hardware wallet, you’re in the right place. This page will guide you through setting up your device step by step, ensuring your digital assets stay safe and secure. Whether you're new to crypto or a seasoned investor, Trezor makes security easy and reliable.
Trezor is a hardware wallet – a physical device designed to keep your private keys offline and protected from online threats like malware, phishing, and hackers. Unlike software wallets, your keys never leave the device, making it one of the most secure ways to manage your cryptocurrencies.
With Trezor, you can:
Store, send, and receive hundreds of coins and tokens
Protect your assets with PIN, passphrase, and backup recovery options
Manage your crypto through the Trezor Suite app (available for desktop and web)
To get started, you’ll need:
Your Trezor device (Model One or Model T)
A USB cable to connect it to your computer
A computer with internet access
5–10 minutes to complete setup
Let’s walk you through the steps.
You’ll be directed to download Trezor Suite, our official wallet interface. It’s available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. You can also use the web version at suite.trezor.io/web, but we recommend the desktop app for better security and features.
If your Trezor is brand new, it may not have firmware installed. Trezor Suite will prompt you to install the latest firmware. Follow the on-screen instructions – this only takes a minute.
Once firmware is installed, you’ll be asked to create a new wallet. Choose “Create new wallet”, then back up your recovery seed – a list of 12 or 24 words that can restore your wallet if your device is lost or damaged. Write it down carefully and store it offline. Never share it with anyone.
Next, set a strong PIN to protect access to your Trezor. You can also add an optional passphrase for advanced security. With your wallet set up, you’re ready to receive, send, and manage crypto safely.
Congratulations! Your Trezor wallet is now ready to use. Explore your dashboard, manage your assets, and enjoy peace of mind knowing your crypto is secure.

Security Tip: Trezor will never ask for your recovery seed online or via email. If you see such requests, it's a scam. Stay alert, stay safe.
Go to and select your device model. Plug your Trezor into your computer using the USB cable. If prompted, allow your computer to recognize the device.
